One Night in Frogtown

Performed: Wednesday, October 14

Learning Diversity Through Music Philip Pelletier´s new musical storybook, "One Night In Frogtown", brings together Portland´s multi-faceted music community, from the worlds of classical, jazz, R&B, and hip-hop to tell a unique story of the value of cultural diversity.

"One Night In Frogtown"´s wide-ranging musical canvas exposes kids to different kinds of music, from R&B, to Classical, to Hip-Hop. The different styles of music symbolize the differences between the social groups of frogs, while the pond itself acts as a metaphor for the world.

Chasing George Washington

Monday, February 1, 2010
9:30am & 11:30am

Field trips are fun, especially when your destination is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue! In this charming and exciting new musical, Dee, José, and Annie accidentally knock George Washington out of his portrait and into real life —turning their White House tour into an unexpected adventure.

As they try to get the nation’s First President back into his painting, the threesome encounters Jacqueline Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln and his wife Mary Todd, Dolley Madison, and other famous White House residents. Together, they learn that the White House isn’t just a historic building… it’s also a home.
